    Governor inaugurates International Trade Conclave on Eco-Friendly Textile

    Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari inaugurated ‘GlobalSpin’ a 2 -day International Trade Conclave on Eco-Handloom, Eco-Textiles and Apparel at World Trade Centre in Mumbai on Friday (25 Mar). The Governor visited the exhibition of handloom products, textiles and eco-friendly apparel on the occasion.

    Speaking on the occasion the Governor said India was a world leader in textiles having famous centres of muslin like Dhaka and other places. He called upon the captains of the textile industry to help to reclaim the past glory of the textile sector in India and make India a 5 trillion dollar economy.

    The Conclave and Exhibition has been organised by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in association with the Ministry of Textiles, IAMKHADI Foundation and World Trade Centre, Mumbai.

    Dr Gloryswarupa Sunchu, Director General of National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Vijay Kalantri, Chairman, World Trade Centre, Yash Arya, Founder, IAMKHADI Foundation and Pavan Godiavala, Director, National Institute of Fashion Technology were present.

    The Conclave is being attended by international delegates, captains of textile industry and students of NIFT.
