Governor presides over the 166th Foundation Day of the Income Tax Department

The 166th Foundation Day of the Income Tax Department was celebrated in the presence of Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan at Kautilya Bhavan, BKC in Mumbai . Earlier the Governor unveiled a statue of Kautilya (Chanakya).

Vice President of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal Shaktijit Dey, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax Malathy Sridharan, senior representatives of major tax-paying companies; officers and retired officials of Income Tax Department were present.

The Governor felicitated leading tax-paying companies – State Bank of India, Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd., HDFC Bank and Indian Oil Corporation – along with retired officials and sportspersons, by presenting them with certificates of appreciation.
