Maharashtra Governor presents Acharya Atre Samman to senior journalist Vijay Vaidya

Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais presented the Acharya Atre Award instituted by the Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh to senior journalist and social worker Vijay Vaidya at the Patrakar Sangh office in Mumbai on Wed (23 Aug). This year happens to be the 125th birth anniversary of writer, poet and editor Acharya Atre.

Senior journalist Madhukar Bhave, President of Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh Narendra Wable, former Sheriff of Mumbai Dr Jagannath Hegde, senior journalist Yogesh Trivedi, Secretary Sandip Chavan, Vishnu Sonawane and others were present. Wards of journalists who had achieved distinction in various examinations were felicitated at the hands of the Governor.
