Governor reviews implementation of PM TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan with District TB officers

Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari conducted the Review Meeting of District and City TB Officers from Vidarbha regarding the effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan at Raj Bhavan in Nagpur.

Principal Secretary of Public Health Sanjay Khandare, Additional Municipal Commissioner of Nagpur Ram Joshi, senior officials of Health Department and District TB Officers were present.

The Governor witnessed a presentation on making India TB free by 2025 and took district wise review of increasing people’s participation in the campaign and increasing the number of Nikshay Mitras who will assist the TB patients in accessing healthcare and nutritious diet. In this connection, the Governor advised the district TB officers to take the help of District Collectors in reaching out to potential Nikshay Mistras. Stressing the need for proper identification of TB patients the Governor appealed to all to help the State to achieve the targets within 2 – 3 months.The Governor felicitated the Nikshay Mitras on the occasion.
