Maha Governor condoles demise of V S Achuthanandan

Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan has expressed grief over the demise of former Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan. In a condolence message, Governor Radhakrishnan wrote:

“I was deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Shri V. S. Achuthanandan, former Chief Minister of Kerala, in Thiruvananthapuram.

Widely regarded as the Bhishmacharya of Kerala politics, Shri Achuthanandan Ji was a towering figure who dominated the political landscape of the State for nearly seven decades. He was a symbol of austerity, simplicity, and unwavering integrity in public life.

As one of the longest serving legislators and the Leader of the Opposition in the Kerala Legislative Assembly, he fearlessly held the government to account, upholding democratic values with great conviction. Always connected to the grassroots, VS will be remembered by the people of Kerala for generations to come for his dedication, courage, and commitment to public service.

I had the privilege of meeting Shri Achuthanandan and always held him in the highest regard. In his demise, the State has lost a grand patriarch of politics and an outstanding parliamentarian.

I offer my homage to the great leader and convey my deepest condolences to the bereaved family, followers, and countless admirers.
