Maharashtra Governor presents President’s Police Medals for 2020 to 97 Police Officers, Personnel

The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari presented the President’s Police Medals for Gallantry, President’s Police Medals for Meritorious Service and Police Medals for Meritorious Service to 97 police officers and police personnel at an Investiture Ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Monday (21th Mar).

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil, Minister of State for Home (Rural) Shambhuraj Desai, ACS Home Anand Limaye, DGP Rajnish Seth, Commissioner of Police Brihanmumbai Sanjay Pandey, decorated police officers and police personnel and family members of the awardees were present.

Ten police officers and police personnel were awarded the Police Medals for Gallantry, while President’s Police Medals were presented to 8 police officials. Seventy nine police officials were given the Police Medals on the occasion.

Dr M C V Maheshwar Reddy, Police DCP, Samirsinh Salwe, Sub Divisional Police Officer, Nashik, Mithu Namdeo Jagdale, ACP Solapur Rural, Avinash Kamble, Assistant Police Sub Inspector, Gadchiroli, SUrpat Wadde, Police Constable, Vasant Atram, Police Naik, Gadchiroli, Ashish Halami, Police Constable Gadchoroli, Vinod Raut, Police Constable Gadchoroli, Nandkumar Angre, Police Constable Gadchiroli and Hamit Vinod Dongre, Police Constable, Gadchiroli were given the Police Medals for Gallantry for their action against the Naxals.

Archana Tyagi, Additional Police DGP, Housing and Sanjay Saxena, Additional Police DG, Principal Secretary Home Department were among the recipients of President’s Police Medals.
