Governor presents Stree Shakti Samman to women achievers

Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presented the ‘Stree Shakti Samman’ to nine women achievers from various walks of life at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Friday (20th Aug).

Former Member of National Commision for Women Nafeesa Hussain, Divyang swimmer Jiya Rai, entrepreneur Swati Singh, Athelete Maithali Agasti, playback singer Reewa Rathod, film star Rajeshwari Sachdeva, Hindi writer Dr Bharti Gore, former Sarpanch Devki Doiphode and editor of weekly ‘Vivek’ Ashwini Mayekar were felicitated by the Governor on the occasion.

The felicitation was organised by ‘Abhiyan’ a social and cultural organization. MLA Ashish Shelar, industrialist Vinit Mittal and Founder of ‘Abhiyan’ Amarjeet Mishra were present.
