Wockhardt Foundation’s CSR Shining Star Awards presented

Governor felicitates leading Corporates for commendable social work

GAIL India, Wipro, Vedanta, L & T, ITC, Essar, Hero Motocorp, HUL, Ashok Leyland among those feted

Ratan Tata presented Lifetime Achievement Award

The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari today presented the CSR Shining Star Awards to leading Corporate and business organisations for their commendable social work under Corporate Social Responsibility. The CSR Shining Star Awards instituted by the Wockhardt Foundation were presented at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Saturday (20th Feb).

Trustee and CEO of Wockhardt Foundation Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala and Chairman, Bhartiya Vikas Sansthan Dr Yogesh Dube were present.

Chairman Emeritus of the Tata Group Ratan Tata was presented the Life Time Achievement Award for the social work done by the Tata Group in numerous areas. In absence of Ratan Tata, the award was accepted by Shri Shantanu Naidu.

The Governor presented the CSR Shining Awards to heads of GAIL India, Wipro, Vedanta, L & T, REC Ltd, ITC Ltd, Essar, Hero MotoCorp, Hindustan Unilever, Ashok Leyland and ONCG. The organizations were felicitated for their work in areas of health, education, child development, skill, women empowerment, water sanitation and hygiene, empowerment of transgenders, work during COVID 19 pandemic, Animal Welfare and Environment.

Chairperson of G D Goenka Public School Dr Chandan Agarwal and Director of Wockhardt Foundation Dr Sindhujaa Iyengar who served as members of the Jury were also felicitated.
