Maruti Chitampalli was a conscience keeper of nature: Maharashtra Governor

The Governor of Maharashtra C P Radhakrishnan has expressed grief over the demise of renowned nature lover and author Padma Shri Maruti Chitampalli. In his condolence message, the Governor wrote:

“I am deeply saddened to know about the demise of Padmashri Maruti Chitampalli — an eminent naturalist, wildlife conservationist, and popular writer. Through his engaging and insightful writings, Chitampalli Ji brought the beautiful and pristine world of wildlife closer to the people.

Long after serving as a senior forest conservator, Shri Chitampalli remained a lifelong guardian of forests and wildlife. In his demise, the nation has lost a conscience-keeper of humanity and a passionate advocate for the preservation of nature. His legacy will continue to inspire us all.
