State Lokayukt presents report to Governor

State Lokayukta Justice V. M. Kanade (retd) and Upa Lokayukta Sanjay Bhatia submitted the 50th Annual Consolidated Report about the performance of Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayukta for the year, 2022 to State Governor Ramesh Bais at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Mon (18 Mar).

According to the information provided by the office of Lokayukta, 5530 fresh complaints were registered by the office in the year 2022. There were 3415 cases already pending from the previous year for investigation. Out of the total 8945 cases available for disposal during the year 2022, a total of 4362 registered cases were disposed of during the year leaving behind a balance of 4583 cases at the end of the year 2022.

It was stated that the institution had succeeded in redressing the grievances of many complainants during the last 5 decades. According to the statement given by the office of Lokayukta, grievances in more than 75% complaints were redressed to the satisfaction of the complainants.
