Maha Governor condoles demise of Lokmanya Tilak’s great-grandson Dr. Deepak Tilak

Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan has expressed grief over the demise of Lokmanya Tilak’s great-grandson Dr. Deepak Tilak in Pune.

In a condolence message, the Governor stated: “I am deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Dr. Deepak Tilak, who made notable contributions in various fields such as education, journalism and social work. As the Trustee Editor of ‘Kesari’ and former Chancellor of Tilak Maharashtra University, Dr. Deepak Tilak continuing the legacy of Tilak family’s social work, presented the passion for patriotism and public education to the masses through historic newspapers like ‘Kesari’.Through his science fiction, short essays and newspaper articles, he inspired generations of young minds to pursue science. With his passing, the state has lost a multifaceted personality. I convey my condolences to the members of the Tilak family.”
