    Harela Parv celebrated at Raj Bhavan Mumbai

    Governor Koshyari plants Tulsi sapling on Harela Parv

    Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari planted a Tulsi sapling on the occasion of Harela Parv at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Friday (16th July). Representatives of various organisations of Uttarakhand people based in Mumbai were present.

    The Governor said India is the only country where trees such as Peepal, Wad, Amla and even animals and birds are worshipped. Stating that the festival of Harela gives the message of interdependence of man and nature, he called for planting and conserving more trees to protect environment.

    Mahesh Sharma, President of Konkan Prant of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Chamu Singh Rana of Himalaya Parvatiya Sangh, K S Panwar, Industrialist, Chandrashekhar Fuloria, President, Tulsi Foundation, Dayaram Shati, Vice President, Garhwal Bhratru Sangh, Mahendra Singh Gosain, Amarjeet Mishra and others were present.
