Governor presents Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar National Awards

Irrfan Khan presented the award posthumously; Bhiwandi Mayor Pratibha Patil, Bhau Kadam also feted

Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presented the 2nd Punyashloka Ahilyadevi Holkar National Awards to 30 achievers from various walks of life at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Saturday (16 April)

The award instituted by the Saga Films Foundation was presented to actor (late) Irrfan Khan posthumously. The award was accepted from the Governor by Sutapa Irrfan Khan.

Bhiwandi Mayor Pratibha Patil, Comedy artist Bhau Kadam, Kirtankar Sudam Gorkhe Kanha Guruji, social workers Dr Ayushi Deshmukh, Anikta Thakre, IRS officer Smita Dolas Somane and compere Dr Samira Gujar were among those felicitated on the occasion.

Rajmata Kalpanaraje Bhosale, MP from Latur Sudhakar Shringare and President of Saga Films Foundation Sagar Dhapte Patil were present on the occasion.
