Governor Radhakrishnan hosts Independence Day Reception at Raj Bhavan Pune

Dignitaries from various walks of life attend Governor’s Reception

Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan hosted the customary Independence Day Reception on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day at Raj Bhavan in Ganeshkhind Pune on Friday (August 15).

Governor’s wife Sumathi Radhakrishnan, Member of Parliament Medha Kulkarni, former Minister Dilip Kamble, actors Prashant Damle, Kavita Lad Medhekar, Advait Dadarkar and Deepak Shirke, Vice Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University Dr. Suresh Gosavi, Pro-Vice Chancellor Parag Kalkar, Vice Chancellor of CoEP Technological University Dr. Sunil Bhirud, former Vice Chancellor Prof. Nitin Karmalkar, Padma Awardee Murlidhar Petkar, sportspersons, senior officers from the armed forces, senior administrative and police officials, as well as invited guests from various fields were present.

The reception started with the playing of the National Anthem and State Anthem by the police band. The Governor then met the invitees and exchanged Independence Day greetings with them.
