Governor hosts Independence Day Reception at Raj Bhavan Pune
Dignitaries from various fields attend Governor’s Reception

Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais hosted the customary Reception, known as ‘At Home’ on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of India’s Independence at Raj Bhavan in Ganeshkhind Pune on Tuesday (August 15).

Governor’s wife Rambai Bais, Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil, senior army officers, senior civil service and police officers, Vice Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University Dr. Suresh Gosavi, social activist Girish Prabhune, founder of MIT Vishwa Shanti Kendra Dr. Vishwanath Karad, orthopedic surgeon Dr. KH Sancheti, actor Dr Mohan Agashe, director Praveen Tarde, vocalist Shaunak Abhisheki, singer Salil Kulkarni, Savani Shende and Arya Ambekar, invitees from various walks of life were present.

The reception started with the playing of the National Anthem and State Anthem by the police band. The Governor and the Guardian Minister met the invitees and exchanged greetings with them on the occasion of Independence Day.
