    Governor felicitates Covid Warriors from Health sector

    ‘Health workers pulled the nation out of deteriorating situation’: Governor Koshyari

    Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari today said that the nation is on the verge of conquering the war against Corona. He credited the doctors, health workers and other Corona Warriors for their dedicated and successful work in pulling the nation out of deteriorating situation during the Covid-19 pandemic.

    The Governor was speaking at the felicitation of Covid -19 warriors in the field of health at a programme organized by the Medical and Health Information Management Association (MaHIMA) at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Monday (14th Dec).

    Citing statistics of the declining Covid cases in the country, the Governor said the success in bringing Corona Virus Disease under control was achieved because of the coordinated work of social workers, police, sanitation workers, doctors and healthworkers. He described the Corona warriors as Devdoots (angels of God).

    Describing service to human beings and animals as service to God, Governor Koshyari appealed to the people continue to serve society, as there are still many people who are homeless and without food.

    Well known doctors – Dr. P V. Battalwar, Medical Superintendent, Lilawati Hospital, Dr. Rekha Battalwar, Dr. Wasim Ghori, Dr. Abha Mahashur, Dr. P P. Prabhudesai, Dr. Jalil Parkar, Dr. Aashish Arbat, Dr. Dnyaneshwar Ashok Avhad, Dr. Rohini Kukar, Dr. Manisha Navnath Jadhav, Dr. Rajan Sancheti, Dr. Avinash Bhondave and Dr. Jeenam Shah were felicitated at the hands of the Governor.

    Social workers Adv. Aparajita Ratnakar Kulthe, Sunil Kashinath Kedar, Mahananda Gawde, Anil Janardan Sawant, Mandar Pawale, Rizwan Khan were also honoured on the occasion.

    Founder President of Medical and health Information Management Associatio (MaHIMA) Giriraj Lad was present.
