13.11.2025 : Skill Development Training Camp for Raj Bhavan Employees Concludes
The Valedictory Session and Certification Distribution programme of the Skill Upgradation Training Camp organized for the employees of the hospitality department of Raj Bhavan was held at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Thursday (13th). The Training Camp was organised at the instance of Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat.
Secretary to the Governor Dr. Prashant Narnaware gave away the participation certificates to the 62 participants of the Training Camp on the occasion.
The Skill Upgradation Training Camp was organized by Raj Bhavan in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. Employees were given hands-on training in Food and Beverage Services, Housekeeping, and Food Production.
In his address, Secretary to the Governor Dr. Prashant Narnaware emphasized the importance of skill enhancement training for government employees. He noted that Raj Bhavan, being the official residence of the Governor — the constitutional head of the State, frequently hosts the President, Prime Minister, and Heads of States from various countries. Hence, he said, the hospitality services at Raj Bhavan must be of the highest standard. He expressed the hope that the training would enhance the efficiency and professionalism of the employees.
Principal of the Institute of Hotel Management Dr. Nisheeth Srivastava, senior faculty members Prof Neelam Nadkar, Prof. Nandkumar Gaikwad, Prof. Amol Balkawde, and Prof Medha Bhattacharya were felicitated at the hands of the Secretary to the Governor Dr Narnaware.
Dr. Nishikant Deshpande, Comptroller of the Governor’s Households delivered the welcome address. Archana Gaikwad, Private Secretary to the Governor did the compering of the programme.
