Maharashtra Governor presents awards to MMRDA Commissioner, Environment Secretary

Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais presented the ‘Nav Bharat Ke Shilpakar’ award to MMRDA Commissioner Dr Sanjay Mukherjee, Principal Secretary Environment Pravin Darade among others in Mumbai on Sat (13 Jan).

The awards instituted by the Nava Bharat – Nava Rashtra Group were presented to 65 achievers from the fields of administration, police, education, healthcare, social service and others.

The Governor also released the Coffee Table book ‘Shiv Rajyabhishek- 350 years’ brought out by the group to mark the 350th anniversary of the coronation of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Member of Parliament Poonam Mahajan, former Minister Harshwardhan Patil, Managing Director of Nava Bharat Group Nimish Maheshwari were prominent among those present.

Harshwardhan Patil, former Minister and Chancellor of Pimpri Chinchwad University Pune, IRS officer Pallavi Darade, Snehalata Kolhe (Sanjeevani Group), Rajesh Goyal (Kohinoor Group), G Sreekanth, Municipal Commissioner, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Navinchandra Reddy, Commissioner of Police Amravati were among those felicitated by the Governor.

The Nava Bharat Group founded in 1934 is celebrating the 90 th anniversary of its establishment.
