Governor Koshyari becomes ‘Nikshay Mitra’; Presents Nutritious Diet Kit to TB patient

Responding to the appeal made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to become ‘Nikshay Mitra’ and support TB patients for nutritious diet, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presented a Nutritious Diet Kit to a TB patient at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai.

The Governor announced assuming the responsibility of providing nutritious diet to the patient for one year.

The Governor also appealed to citizens, social organisations and the Corporate sector to become ‘Nikshay Mitra’ and to support the national cause of TB eradication.

The Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan has been launched to increase the participation of citizens in the task of eradication of tuberculosis.

The Nutritious Diet Kit given to TB patients includes Cereals, Pulses, Vegetable Oil, Milk Powder, Fruits, Dry fruits etc.

Dr. Mahesh Patil, District TB Officer (ABC, M West), Dr. Prasad Shinde, Physician to the Governor, Dr. Onkar Todkari, District TB Officer (D & E wards), Dr. Prithviraj Rajole, Medical Officer, Banganga Dispensary and Shri. Shashank Bandkar, District PPM Coordinator (D & E wards) were present.
