Maharashtra Governor inaugurates anniversary of Armed Forces Flag Day

Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat launched the Armed Forces Flag Fund Collection Drive on the occasion of the Armed Forces Flag Day at Lok Bhavan Mumbai.

Director of Sainik Kalyan Col (retd) Deepak Thonge affixed the miniature flag badge on the apparel of the Governor. The Governor made his contribution to the flag fund.

The programme was organized by the Mumbai City and Mumbai Suburban Districts.

The Governor felicitated senior government officers, heads of various public and private institutions and citizens who contributed to raising maximum flag funds during the last year.

Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, AVSM, VSM, FOC-in-C Western Naval Command, GOC Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa area Lt Gen D S Kushwah, Air Vice Marshal PS Wadodkar, Secretary GAD Pankaj Kumar, Secretary to the Governor Dr Prashant Narnaware, Konkan Div Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi, Collectors Saurabh Katiyar and Anchal Sood Goyal and officials were present.
