Governor Acharya Devvrat attends Beating Retreat Ceremony on Navy Day
Maharashtra and Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat attended the ‘Beating Retreat’ and Tattoo Ceremony organised by the Western Naval Command of Indian Navy on the occasion of Navy Day at Gateway of India in Mumbai on Wednesday (10th Dec).
The impressive event included breath-taking performances by the naval central band, the Beating Retreat Ceremony, helicopter fly-past, Continuity drill by naval personnel and the Hornpipe Sailor’s Dance by girls of the Sea Cadet Corps.
Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, AVSM, VSM, Flag Officer Commanding in Chief, Western Naval Command, serving and retired officers of Indian Navy and invitees from various walks of life were present.
At Home Reception
The Governor Devvrat also attended the At Home reception organised by the Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, AVSM, VSM at the Navy House on the occasion of Navy Day. The Governor extended his Navy Day greetings to the serving officers and veterans present on the occasion.
