Governor visits Karve Institute of Social Service
Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari visited the Karve Institute of Social Service and interacted with faculty and students at the Institute premises at Karvenagar in Pune.
Praising Maharshi Karve for his pioneering work in the area of women’s education and widow remarriage, the Governor called upon the Institute to work towards fulfilling the vision of Maharshi Karve and Founder Bhaskar Karve.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees Madhukar Pathak, Trustee Sandeep Khardekar, Chairman Vinayak Karale, Vice Chairman, Vinayak Ghorpade, Secretary M Shivkumar, Members of Management Council, In Charge Director Sharmila Ramteke, members of faculty and students were present. The institute was founded by Bhaskar Karve, the son of Bharat Ratna late Maharshi Karve in 1963.
