Gondwana University inks MoU with Lloyds Metals, Australian University in presence of Governor, CM
Tripartite Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between the Gondwana University Gadchiroli and the Lloyds Metals and Energy and Gondwana University and the Curtin University in Western Australia in the presence of Maharashtra Governor and Chancellor of the university C P Radhakrishnan and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Wed (7 May).
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor expressed the hope that the trilateral agreement will act as a catalyst for the transformation of the entire region of Gadchiroli. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed the hope that during the next 5 years, Gadchiroli will emerge as the Steel Hub of India.
The first MoU was signed between the Gondwana University and Lloyds Metals to establish an autonomous ‘University Institute of Technology’ in Gadchiroli for offering Engineering programmes to the students. The second MoU was signed between the Gondwana University and Curtin University in Western Australia for the awarding of twin degrees.
Minister of Higher and Technical Education Chandrakant Patil, former Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, MLC Parinay Fuke, Consul General of Australia in Mumbai Paul Murphy, Curtin University Pro-Chancellor Mark Ogden, Vice Chancellor of Gondwana University Dr Prashant Bokare, MD of Lloyds Metals B Prabhakaran, ACS Higher and Technical Education Venugopal Reddy, Secretary to the Chief Minister Shrikar Pardeshi, Secretary to the Governor Dr Prashant Narnaware, and invitees were present on the occasion.
