Governor presents President’s Police Medals to 115 Police Officers, Personnel
The Governor of Maharashtra Ramesh Bais presented the Police Medals for Gallantry, President’s Police Medals for Meritorious Service and Police Medals for Meritorious Service to 115 Police Officers and Police personnel at an Investiture Ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Thursday (6th Jun).
The police medals announced on the Independence Day in 2021 and the Republic Day in 2022 were given away.
Addl Chief Secretary (Home) Sujata Saunik, Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla, Commissioner of Police Brihanmumbai Vivek Phansalkar, senior police officers, retired police officers, decorated police officers and police personnel and their family members were present.
Thirty police officers and police personnel were awarded the Police Medals for Gallantry, while President’s Police Medals were presented to 7 police officials. Seventy eight police officers and police personnel were given the Police Medals for Meritorious service on the occasion.
Vinay Kargaonkar, Retired DGP, Mumbai Traffic, Ashutosh Dumbre, Commissioner Thane City, Ashok Ahire, Retired Sub-Inspector of Police, Nashik Rural, Vinod Kumar Tiwari, Retd. PSI Chandrapur, Pralhad Khade, Retd Commandant, SRPF Group 6, Dhule, Chandrakant Gundge, retired Senior PI, Police Training Center Nanvij, Daund and Mirza Anwar Baig Ibrahim Baig, retired Sub-Inspector, Nanded were awarded the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
