Maharashtra Governor presents India SME Excellence Awards to captains of SME Industry

Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan presided over the “Maharashtra Industries & SME Summit,” jointly organized by the Maharashtra Industry Development Association (MIDA) and SME Chamber of India in Mumbai on Wed (5 Mar). The Governor presented the 23rd “India SME Excellence Awards” and the 14th “Pride of Maharashtra Awards” to various Small and Medium Enterprises for their outstanding contributions on this occasion.

The awards function was organised on the occasion of the 25th Foundation Day of MIDA and the 32nd Foundation Day of the SME Chamber of India.

Highlighting the important role of SMEs in achieving the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat,’ the Governor commended the efforts of MIDA and the SME Chamber of India in empowering SMEs, manufacturing industries, and startups. He emphasized their contribution to transforming India into a $5 trillion economy under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He expressed the confidence that the economy of Maharashtra will be transformed after the commencement of the Wadhwan Port and the Navi Mumbai airport.

Founder and President of SME Chamber of India Chandrakant Salunkhe, Secretary to the Governor Dr. Prashant Narnaware, CMD of HI Media Laboratories Ltd Dr G. M. Warke, Chief Advisor MIDA Mohan Rathod, Vice President Sudesh Vaidya, CEO of L & T – SuFin Bhadresh Pathak, Entrepreneurs and delegates were present.

The Governor launched the “National SME Manufacturing Mission, SME TV and the SME Legal Council and released the Annual Report of the Chamber.
