    Governor Koshyari calls for making Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University a Centre of Excellence

    The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari in his capacity as Chancellor of state universities today presided over the 23rd Convocation of the Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University (SRTMU) Nanded through an online platform.

    Recalling that the 10th Guru of Sikhism Guru Gobind Singh had spent many years in Nanded, Governor Koshyari called upon the University to make all out efforts to become a Centre of Excellence and develop Nanded into a model of all round development like Oxford.

    Congratulating the graduating students, recipients of Ph.Ds and Gold Medals, the Governor said their degree will be successful if they strived to give back to the society to the maximum extent.

    Minister of Higher and Technical Education Uday Samant, Director of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research Dr S Ramakrishnan, Vice Chancellor of SRTMU Dr Udhav Bhosle, Pro Vice Chancellor Jogendra Singh Bisen and others were present.

    In all, 22285 graduating students including 215 Ph.Ds recipients were conferred degrees at the Convocation.
