Governor Koshyari launches the logo and website of ‘The Democracy’ portal

‘Pillars of Democracy’ awards presented

Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari launched the logo and website of ‘The Democracy’ news and video portal at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Friday (3 Dec). Editor in Chief of the Afternoon Voice and The Democracy Dr Vaidehi Taman had organised the programme.

The Governor also presented the Pillars of Democracy Awards on this occasion. Former MP and former Vice Chancellor of the University of Mumbai Dr Bhalchandra Mungker, former Minister Dr Deepak Sawant, theatre personality Bharat Dabholkar and Makarand Deshpande, choreographer Sandeep Soparrkar, Batra Clinic founder Dr Mukesh Batra, transgender activist Laxmi Tripathi, RTI activist Vivek Velankar, retired bureucrat Mahesh Zagade, social worker Chitra Wagh, bird right activist Sunish Kunju were among those felicitated on the occasion.
