    Governor sows jowar seeds at Khoripada, inspires farmers towards natural farming

    Nashik, (Jan 2): Progressive farmer Samrat Raut of Khoripada in Dindori Taluka had a memorable day today as Governor Acharya Devvrat paid a surprise visit to his farm. The Governor delighted everyone by personally sowing jowar seeds on the tifan (farm ridge), reflecting his deep bond with farming and farmers.

    Interacting with farmers, the Governor urged them to adopt natural farming practices, stressing that he himself is a farmer who owns indigenous cows and follows natural methods entirely. He emphasized that natural farming is beneficial and should be embraced widely.

    The Raut family honored the Governor with produce grown through natural farming and presented him with Pavri, a traditional tribal musical instrument. They also extended warm hospitality by serving rural delicacies such as nagali porridge and rice pancakes, which the Governor relished.

    Governor Devvrat expressed gratitude for the love and hospitality received during his Nashik district tour. He praised the initiatives undertaken by farmer Samrat Raut and interacted warmly with family members, inspected the cattle shed, planted saplings, and visited the Animal Husbandry Department’s stall.

    Present on the occasion were Food and Drug Administration Minister Narhari Zirwal, Member of Parliament Bhaskar Bhagre, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Praveen Gedam, Governor’s Secretary Dr. Prashant Narnaware, District Collector Ayush Prasad, Zilla Parishad CEO Omkar Pawar, and District Superintendent Agriculture Officer Ravindra Mane, among others.

    A large number of farmers and villagers were present, making the Governor’s visit a truly memorable event.
