Governor Acharya Devvrat visits ‘Sahyadri Farms’

Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat today (2nd Jan) visited Sahyadri Farms at Mohadi in Dindori taluka and held detailed discussions with the company’s Managing Director, Vilas Shinde, on the subject of natural farming. On this occasion, he learned about the journey and progress of Sahyadri Farms directly from Shinde.

On Friday afternoon, the Governor toured various projects at Sahyadri Farms, observing experiments in natural farming. He reviewed fruit processing, processing units, exports, available markets, and the guidance provided to farmers. The Governor’s Secretary Dr. Prashant Narnaware, District Collector Ayush Prasad, Deputy Chief Conservator of Forests G. Mallikarjun, along with other officials, were present during the visit.

Governor Devvrat obtained detailed information about the initiatives undertaken by Sahyadri Farms and also offered some suggestions. He urged that the schemes implemented by the Central and State Governments for promoting natural farming should be utilized effectively.
