    Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat releases ‘Lok Bhavan’ Calendar

    Maharashtra and Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat released the calendar of Maharashtra Lok Bhavan for the year 2026 at Lok Bhavan Mumbai on Thursday (1 Jan.). This is the maiden calendar prepared after the renaming of Maharashtra Raj Bhavan as Lok Bhavan.

    Speaking on the occasion, Governor Devvrat congratulated all those associated with the initiative for bringing history to the fore through the medium of the Calendar.

    The calendar features photographs of the historic buildings of Lok Bhavan, captured over time by several renowned photographers.

    In addition to Lok Bhavan at Mumbai, the calendar also includes photographs of the Lok Bhavans located in Nagpur, Pune, and Mahabaleshwar.

    It also carries a photograph of the national bird, the peacock, for whom Lok Bhavan premises in Mumbai serves as a habitat.

    Along with new photographs of the historic buildings, the calendar also includes old photographs of the respective heritage buildings. Each photograph has been provided with its historical context.

    The calendar includes works of photographers Sudhakar Olwe, Navin Bhanushali, Sachin Vaidya, Pratik Chorge, Hanif Tadvi, Sandeep Yadav, Vaibhav Nadgaonkar, Raman Kulkarni, Nagorao Rodewad, Satish Kulkarni, and Chandrakant Khandagale.

    Secretary to the Governor Dr. Prashant Naranware, Deputy Secretary to the Governor S Ramamoorthy, and Public Relations Officer Umesh Kashikar were present on the occasion.
