Students from Poonch (Jammu) call on Governor

A group of young boys and girls from Poonch, a border district in Jammu, called on the Governor of Maharashtra Jishnu Dev Varma at Maharashtra Lok Bhavan in Mumbai. The interaction was organised as part of the National Integration and Goodwill Programme under the Indian Army’s Operation Sadbhavana initiative.

The Governor enquired about their education, sporting achievements and future aspirations. He encouraged them to pursue excellence in their chosen fields and contribute to the nation’s development. The Governor also conveyed his best wishes for their bright and successful future.

Of the five girls in the delegation, three are national-level hockey players. One of the students also shared her aspiration of joining the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

Maulvi Farid Malik, Shabnam Parveen, Nawaz Mehmood, Umar Abdullah Khan, Mubashir Ahmad, Shahista Majeed, Adil Majeed, Shabina Parveen and Naseem Fatima were present on the occasion.
