09.06.2026: Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma today called upon journalists to continue highlighting the concerns of ordinary citizens and marginalized sections of society. The Governor was addressing a Convention of Journalists organised by the Marathi Patrakar Sangh at the Y.B. Chavan Auditorium in Mumbai. Speaker of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Rahul Narwekar, Gaur Gopal Das, Group Editor of Sakal Media Group Nilesh Khare, senior journalists Sarita Kaushik and Mrunalini Nanivadekar, Secretary to the Governor Dr. Prashant Narnaware, State President of the Marathi Patrakar Sangh Kiran Joshi and journalists were present.
