27.03.2026: Maharashtra Lok Bhavan Hosts Central Asian Youth Delegation
27.03.2026: A delegation of 100 young people from five Central Asian countries visited Maharashtra Lok Bhavan as part of the Government of India’s cultural and youth exchange programme. The visit has been organized through the ‘My Bharat’ initiative under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and the Ministry of External Affairs. The delegation comprises 20 members each from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. As per the directions of Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, the Joint Secretary to the Governor, S. Ramamoorthy, welcomed the youth delegation from Central Asian countries at Lok Bhavan. On this occasion, he expressed confidence that this visit would further strengthen cooperation and deepen mutual relations between India and its Central Asian partner countries. During the visit, the delegation also explored the historic sites within Lok Bhavan. The delegation is scheduled to visit Goa and New Delhi. Officials present on the occasion included Prativa Lama from the Ministry of External Affairs, Sanjeev Kapoor, Liaison Officer from the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Amit Punde, State Director of My Bharat (Maharashtra & Goa), and Dr. Milind Kale, State Liaison Officer of the National Service Scheme.
