26.02.2026: Governor presents the Lokmat Times Excellence in Health Care Awards to doctors

26.02.2026: Maharashtra Governor Acharya Devvrat today presented the Lokmat Times Excellence in Health Care Awards to doctors who have rendered outstanding service in the field of healthcare at a function held at Centre Point Hotel in Nagpur. In his speech, the Governor praised the doctors who, with compassion, kindness and tolerance, save the lives of patients. He said society owes a great debt to the doctors. He appealed to doctors to undertake greater public awareness efforts to help build a healthy society. The Governor further stated that clean air, water and soil are essential for a healthy society, and emphasized the need for all sections of society to promote natural farming. Spouse of the Governor – Darshana Devi, Minister of Health and Family Welfare Prakash Abitkar, Nagpur Mayor Neeta Thakre, Lokmat Media Group Chairman Vijay Darda, Padma Shri awardee Dr. Vikas Mahatme, Padma Shri Chandrashekhar Meshram and IMA President Manjusha Giri were among those present.
