Vivek Bhimanwar sworn in as Chairman of MPSC; Governor administers oath at Lok Bhavan
Senior civil service officer Vivek Bhimanwar was sworn in as the Chairman of Maharashtra Public Service Commission on Wed (18 Feb).
At a brief oath-taking ceremony held at Lok Bhavan, Mumbai, Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath of office and secrecy to Bhimanwar.
The Governor, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde congratulated Bhimanwar by presenting him with bouquets. Bhimanwar has been appointed for a term of 6 years or till he attains the age of 62 years, whichever is earlier.
Former Chairman of MPSC Rajnish Seth, Officiating Chairman Dr. Abhay Wagh, members of the Commission, Chief Minister’s Secretary Shrikar Pardeshi, government officials, and family members of Bhimanwar were present.
Earlier, the Governor’s Secretary Dr. Prashant Narnaware read out the notification regarding the appointment of Vivek Bhimanwar issued by the General Administration Department.
Oath-taking commences with “Vande Mataram
As per the new guidelines of the Central Government, the ceremony began with Vande Mataram, the National Anthem, and the State Song, and concluded with Vande Mataram and the National Anthem.
