Governor presents Police Medals to 106 Police Officers, Personnel
The Governor of Maharashtra C. P. Radhakrishnan presented the Police Medals for Gallantry, President’s Police Medals for Meritorious Service and Police Medals for Meritorious Service to 106 Police Officers and Police personnel at an Investiture Ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Tuesday (29th July).
The police medals were announced by the President of India on Independence Day 2022 and 2023 and Republic Day in 2023 and 2024.
A total of Sixty -four (64) police officers and personnel were given the Police Gallantry Medal, four (4) police officers were awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, and thirty- eight (38) officers and personnel were presented with the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
Principal Secretary (Home) Anup Kumar Singh. President’s Police Medal and Special Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma, Meritorious Service Medal were among those who were decorated.
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Minister of State for Home (Urban) Yogesh Kadam, Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla, and police officers and family members of the decorated police officers and personnel were present.
