Governor presents Police Medals to 83 Police Officers, Personnel
The Governor of Maharashtra C. P. Radhakrishnan presented the Police Medals for Gallantry, President’s Police Medals for Meritorious Service and Police Medals for Meritorious Service to 83 Police Officers and Police personnel at an Investiture Ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Thursday (26th Jun).
The police medals were announced by the President of India on Independence Day in 2021 and 2022.
A total of forty-one (41) police officers and personnel received the Police Gallantry Medal, three (3) police officers were awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, and thirty-nine (39) officers and personnel were honoured with the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
Minister of State for Home (Rural) Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar, Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla, Commandant General of Home Guards Ritesh Kumar, Director General of Maharashtra State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation Archana Tyagi, Brihanmumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti and police officers, retired police officials, and family members of the decorated police officers and personnel were present at the Police Investiture Ceremony.
