20.06.2025: West Bengal Foundation Day celebrated at Raj Bhavan, graced by the presence of the Governor
20.06.2025: The West Bengal State Foundation Day was celebrated in presence of State Governor C P Radhakrishnan at Maharashtra Raj Bhavan in Mumbai. Students and artists of the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University presented a cultural programme comprising folk songs and dance depicting the cultural traditions of West Bengal on the occasion. Secretary to the Governor Dr. Prashant Naranware, Vice Chancellor of Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University Prof. Prakash Mahanwar, Deputy Secretary to the Governor S Ramamurthy, Student Development Officer of PAHSU Dr. Kedarnath Kalwane, Bengali-speaking invitees from Mumbai, student artists of the university and members of Raj Bhavan family were present. Two students of the university presented their live paintings to the Governor on this occasion. The students presented the folk song 'Elo Durga Maa', a monologue on West Bengal through the eyes of Rabindranath Tagore, Raibenshe folk dance and Jhumar folk dance.
