    Maharashtra Governor praises the educational work of Sree Narayana Mandira Samiti for the poor

    Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan was all praise for the work of the Sree Narayana Mandira Samiti for the education of the poor and the underprivileged sections of society and remarked that the nation needed more such institutions that would work for the poor.

    The Governor was speaking at the 61st Anniversary of the Sree Narayana Mandira Samiti, an educational and charitable trust at the Sree Narayana Education Complex, Chembur, Mumbai on Sun (18 May).

    The Governor said were it not for Sree Narayana Guru, Sanatana Dharma would not have survived in Kerala. He said Kerala had run to the rescue of the nation whenever the Sanatana Dharma was in difficulty. In this connection, he recalled the work done by Adi Sankaracharya of Kaladi.

    The Governor said Narayana Guru dedicated his life for reforming society and establishing equality for all human beings.

    MP Sanjay Dina Patil said his association with the Sree Narayana Mandira Samiti is now running into the third generation. He added that even his late father Dina Patil was closely associated with the institution. He said other institutions should take inspiration from the work for the poor done by Sree Narayana Mandira Samiti.

    The Governor released the souvenir of the Samiti and offered prayers at the temple of Sree Narayana Guru.

    President of Sree Narayana Mandira Samiti M I Damodaran, Chairman N Mohandas, Deputy Secretary to the Governor S.Ramamoorthy, Vice Chairman of the Samiti S. Chandrababu, General Secretary O K Prasad and others were present.
