    16.05.2025: State Foundation Day of Sikkim celebrates at Raj Bhavan in presence of Governor

    Zoom 16.05.2025 : The 50th Anniversary of the State Foundation Day of Sikkim was celebrated at Maharashtra Raj Bhavan Mumbai in presence of Maharashtra Governor and Chancellor of State Universities C.P. Radhakrishnan. The Sikkim State Foundation Day was organised as part of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative of Government of India. The Sikkim State Foundation was organised by Maharashtra Raj Bhavan in association with Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The Cultural team of the University presented a programme comprising the folk songs and dance of Sikkim on the occasion. An audio visual film showcasing the beauty, history and heritage of Sikkim was also shown on the occasion. Secretary to the Governor Dr Prashant Narnaware, Vice Chancellor of Shivaji University Prof D. T. Shirke, Pro Vice Chancellor P S Patil, Registrar Dr V N Shinde, members of the Management Council of the University, students and members of the cultural team of the University were present.
