05.07.2024: Governor presides over the 109th Foundation Day of the SNDT Women’s University

05.07.2024: Maharashtra Governor and Chancellor of universities Ramesh Bais presided over the 109th Foundation Day of the SNDT Women’s University at the University’s Maharshi Karve academic complex at Marine Lines Mumbai. It was on this day in 1916 that Maharshi Karve had founded the University. Seed Mother and the champion of organic farming Rahibai Popere was the Chief Guest. Vice Chancellor Dr Ujwala Chakradeo, Pro VC Ruby Ojha, Registrar Vilas Nandavadekar, former VCs Rupa Shah and Chandra Krishnamurty, Sudhir Thackersey, Deans, faculty, staff and students were present. The Governor presented the Bharat Ratna Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve awards to the best college, best teacher and best non-teaching staff of the University and also presented scholarship cheques to selected students.
