Governor presides through online mode the launch of the yearlong celebrations of India Meteorological Department

06.03.2024: Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais presided through online mode, the launch of the yearlong celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of India Meteorological Department organised by Regional Meteorological Centre Nagpur. A workshop on ‘Severe Weather and Weather Services in Central India’ was organized on this occasion. Dr. Mrityunjay Mohapatra, Director General India Meteorological Department, M L Sahu, Deputy Director General, Regional Meteorological Centre, Nagpur, Anil Sole, former MLC, scientists, senior officers and staff of Meteorological Department were present.
