Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais unfurls national flag at Republic Day State function

The Governor of Maharashtra Ramesh Bais unfurled the National Flag and delivered his Republic Day Message to the people on the occasion of the 75th Republic Day at the State function held at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Friday, 26th January.

The Governor inspected the ceremonial parade and read out his Republic Day Message. Addl Chief Secretary Manisha Mhaiskar read out the Marathi translation of the Governor’s Republic Day Message.

Spose of the Governor, Smt Rambai Bais, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, President of United Nations General Assembly Dennis Francis, Minister of Skills Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Diplomats from various countries, Chief Secretary Nitin Kareer, DGP Rashmi Shukla, senior government officers of the Armed Forces, Administration and Police were present. The Governor exchanged Republic Day greetings with the invitees on the occasion.

Marching columns of the Indian Navy, SRPF, Mumbai Police, Gadchiroli and Gondia C – 60, Mumbai Traffic Police, State Excise Department, Mumbai Fire Brigade, participated in the Parade.

In the second group, Marching columns of the National Service Scheme, Sea Cadet Corps (Boys and Girls), Road Safety Patrol, Student Police Cadet and Bharat Scouts and Guides participated in the parade. The Brass Band and Pipe Band of the Police and SRPF received applause from the invitees.
