15.01.2024: Governor Ramesh Bais inaugurated the 2nd 'Mumbai Sustainability Summit' organised by Vivekananda Youth Connect Foundation at Y. B. Chavan Centre, Mumbai. The Governor also presented the Mumbai Sustainability Awards to various personalities for their contribution to environment, cultural and social sustainability. Minister of School Education Deepak Kesarkar, Chairman of Hinduja Group Ashok Hinduja, CEO of Tata Trusts Siddharth Sharma, Founder of Vivekananda Youth Connect Foundation Dr. Rajesh Sarwadnya, playback singer Anuradha Paudwal, Principal Secretary Environment Pravin Darade and college students were present. The Governor presented the Mumbai Sustainability Lifetime Achievement Award to retired government officer Radheshyam Mopalwar. Tabla exponent Anuradha Pal (Stree Shakti Music Ensemble), Dr Divesh Mishra (Environment), Dr. Harish Shetti (Aahar Veda), Amrit Deshmukh (Swayam Moment), Sujata Raikar (Social Sustainability), Lawrence Bing (Hockey) and Chinu Kwatra were also given the 'Mumbai Sustainability Awards' on the occasion.
