speech – 15.09.2023: Governor presents Shikhar Savarkar Samman

15.09.2023: Governor Ramesh Bais presented the ‘Shikhar Savarkar’ Samman to individuals and organisations promoting mountaineering and preserving forts, at a function held at Raj Bhavan Mumbai. The ‘Shikhar Savarkar awards’ have been instituted by the Swatantryaveer Savarkar Rashtriya Smarak, Mumbai. Veteran mountaineer and researcher on Himalayas Harish Kapadia was presented the ‘Shikhar Savarkar Lifetime Achievement Award’, while Mohan Hule was given the ‘Shikhar Savarkar Yuva Sahas Puraskar’. The ‘Shikhar Savarkar Durg Samvardhan Puraskar’ was given to Durgveer Pratishthan. Executive President of the Smarak Ranjit Savarkar, Treasurer Manjiri Marathe, Secretary Rajendra Waradkar, Joint Secretary Swapnil Savarkar were among those present.
