02.06.2023 : Governor gives send off to Divyang Olympicians going for Berlin Special Olympics

02.06.2023 : Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais gave a warm send off to the Maharashtra contingent of Divyang sports persons participating in the ‘Special Olympics’ World Summer Games 2023 at Raj Bhavan Mumbai. The Special Olympics World Summer Games are the world’s largest inclusive sports event for the intellectually challenged athletes. Minister of Tourism, Skills and Women and Child Welfare Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Chairperson of the ‘Special Olympics Bharat’ Dr Mallika Nadda, Chairperson of ‘Special Olympic’ Maharashtra Dr. Medha Somaiya, Vice Chairperson Parveen Dasgupta, Project Manager Hansini Raut, coaches and sports persons were present.
