Maharashtra Governor attends inauguration of the SAHASRA BRAHMA KALASABHISHEKAM at Mumbai’s Guruvayoor Temple
Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari attended the inauguration of the 7 – day long Maha Dravyavarthy Sahastra Brahma Kalash Abhishekam ritual at the Aasthik Samaj’s Kochu Guruvayoor Temple at Bhandarkar Road, Matunga, Mumbai on Friday (18 Nov).
The Asthik Samaj set up in 1923 is embarking on its Centenary from this year.
The Governor had the darshan of Lord Ramachandra, Sitadevi, Laxmana, Karthikeyan, Navagraha, Kochu Guruvayurappan and Swamy Ayyappan in the temple premises and interacted with devotees.
Well known playback singer Shankar Mahadevan sang the Krishna Bhajan and Nama Sankirtana on the occasion.
The Chief Tanthri of the Shri Krishna Guruvayoor Temple in Kerala P C Dinesan Namboothiripad, Chairman of the Asthika Samaj Temple Ventakaraman, Secretary P V Ramaswamy, Trustee C S Parameshwar and devotees were present.
