    Maharashtra Governor inaugurates First State Level Youth Parliament

    Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari inaugurated the first State Level Youth Mock Parliament at the Green Technology Auditorium of University of Mumbai at Kalina, Mumbai on Tue (15 Nov).

    The State Level Youth Parliament was organised by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in association with UNICEF Maharashtra to educate the youth about the working of parliamentary democracy.

    Complimenting the organizers for organizing the first State Level Youth Mock Parliament, Governor Koshyari expressed the hope that understanding of the functioning of parliamentary practices and problems of the nation will make the youths good citizens, good people’s representatives and good leaders in all walks of life.

    State Director of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan Prakash Kumar Manure, State Chief UNICEF Maharashtra Rajeshwari Chandrashekhar and young Parliamentarians representing all Districts of Maharashtra were present.

    The Governor felicitated the Young State Level Prime Minister Girish Ghanshyam Patil, Speaker Swapnil Dalvieand the Leader of the Opposition of the Mock Parliament Nancy Pandey and released the book ‘Social Media for Youth’ on the occasion. UNICEF Maharashtra Communication Expert Swati Mohapatra and State Consultant Tanaji Patil were also felicitated.
