Governor inaugurates Armed Forces Flag Fund Collection Drive

The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari launched the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund Collection drive for year 2020-21 by making a contribution to the Flag Fund. Director of Sainik Welfare Pramod Yadav pinned the miniature flag of the Armed Forces on the jacket of the Governor.

The Flag Fund Collection Drive for the Mumbai City and Mumbai Suburban Districts was inaugurated by the Governor on the occasion of the Armed Forces Flag Day at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai on Monday (7th Dec)

The Governor felicitated the Divisional Commissioner of Konkan Division Annasaheb Misal, Collector of Mumbai City Rajiv Nivatkar, Collector of Mumbai Suburban District Milind Borikar and Distirct Sainik Welfare Officer Capt Vidya Ratnaparakhi for their outstanding work of flag fund collection.

Vice Admiral Ajit Kumar P, Flag Officer Commanding in Chief, Western Naval Command, Lt Gen SK Prashar, General Officer Commanding in Chief, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa Area, Seema Vyas, Principal Secretary, General Administration Department, Air Vice Marshal S.R. Singh, Air Officer Commanding, Western Air Command and representatives of various donor organizations were present on the occasion.
