    The country is moving forward on the principles of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj – Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari

    Alibag, Raigad Dated 2- “I have got special energy by paying a visit to the Raigad Fort, which was graced by the holy touch of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. I am also satisfied with the work going on for the development of Raigad Fort,” said Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari today. He also said that the country is moving ahead with the principles and ideals of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

    Governor visited Raigad Fort in today afternoon. He also paid tribute to the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, which is installed there. On this occasion, he was accompanied by the Guardian minister of Raigad district and Minister of State for Industries, Mining, Tourism, Horticulture, Sports and Youth Welfare, Department of Protocol, Information and Public Relations Department, Aditi Tatkare, Divisional Commissioner of Konkan region Shivaji Daund, Collector Nidhi Chaudhary, Superintendent of police Anil Paraskar among other senior officers were present.

    Various development works are currently underway in Raigad Fort by Public Works Department (PWD) in collaboration with Department of Archaeology. The Governor inspected these works. Visiting to different parts of Raigad Fort, he himself inspected them. Earlier, the governor also visited the grave of Rajmata Jijau. By raising his hand, the governor greeted to the tourists, who had arrived to see Raigad Fort. He also interacted with small children. Visiting to the small architectural museum of the Department of Archaeology located in Raigad, he has also been apprised about the objects of archaeology.
